Will you spend it?

Most everyone has heard about the refund that will be coming in the mail for all tax paying citizens come May. No matter what you think about it, if you are like most people I have talked to, you probably already have a plan for your check. I know most financial advisers have been counseling people to bank it,but we have different plans. WE are going to renovate our bathroom from ground up. We only have one bathroom to begin with, so it will not be a pleasant undertaking. We need to ripe out paneling (our current walls), the chipping, rusting bathtub, the cracking wall liner, the falling-through-the-liner tiles, the faded light blue (yuck!) ceramic floor tiles and the old sink cabinet. Yes, it will be a HUGE undertaking. The reality is, though, if we are going to ever sell our house, it has to be done. No one would want it in the state it is in now. We have lived here for 6 1/2 years and tolerated it, but it has slowly over time grown worse and worse. Todd is not excited about all the work, and the lack of a tub and possibly a toilet will cause some problems. However, I am holding to the positive belief that when it is over, it will be worth it! (I HOPE!)

"ROAR!"

Today I had the fun privilege of attending the Detroit Tigers game with our son, Caleb. I'm not a big sports fan, but it was so much fun to dress up, cheer on our team and spend the afternoon/evening alone with Caleb. He got really antsy around the 6th inning and asked when it would be over, but when I told him we still had some time he decided to make the most of it and began dancing, jumping up and down and just having a crazy time. His favorite possession was the foam Tiger claw he got from the souvenir shop. Though it set me back $15 dollars, it was great to see him so enthusiastic. This will be on the list of most memoriable moments spent with my little boy.
